Upular
Video for my track ‘Upular’, composed using chords, bass notes and vocal samples from the Disney Pixar film ‘Up’. The track also features a small number of percussion samples, including an obvious kick drum, crash cymbals and hi-hats.
‘Upular’ is my first ever remix of a Pixar film. The release of ‘Upular’ also marked the unsettling deactivation of ‘Alice’, ‘Expialdicious’ and ‘White Magic’, which later resurfaced upon the closing of my contract with Disney. Boy was that a swell moment.

Huh, few days ago I’ve heard Upular in polish radio “Kampus”. It was weird (I mean I wasn’t expecting that) hearing in from my car’s stereo, but also I was happy, that someone has noticed it and played in radio :)

Same here, Pedro! This track is so powerful, just like the message in the movie UP. I find it near impossible to feel down if I have this blasting through my headphones! Spread the love because the world is slowly waking up & stuff like this helps it along a little.

If you type UPULAR into iTunes you’ll find it on a podcast that should come up in the results. I think it’s on a Podcast called Wide Awake if my memory serves me right. (HINT: convert to mp3 & edit down to just this song)

This should definitely be made available for purchase. Whatever Pogo and Disney / Pixar need to do to make a deal on who gets what split, I’d like to contribute some money to own this track without having to rip it.

Obviously Pogo (whom I love) did get comissioned for this work. Had he not, a giant foot would have appeard from the sky and squashed this project like a bug. The media industry is good for killing anything it does not hold the control over, whether its positive or negative.
In short though….there no reason avoid mentioning whether Pogo got paid. If he did, great he’s being noticed if not, enjoy it while you can.

Hello from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I have just recently started listening to your music and I LOVE IT! I just have a question about purchasing your music on itunes. Do you have any albums on there? Also I wanted to download the upular track and I cant find it anywhere :(
When I first heard this, I was, in a positive way, taken aback — not by the content, but by the style. This has to be the most unique, opulent, and expressive opus I’ve ever seen on YouTube or on the web in general, regarding remixes and music videos. It’s clever; it’s creative; it’s catchy; and I love it. To date, I’ve listened to it over eighty times and continue to listen to it on a daily basis. Call me crazy, but I really do enjoy it that much.
