Remixing Johannesburg
In early 2010, I was honoured to be part of the Smirnoff Experience in South Africa. Having just started remixing the real world with my camera and microphone, I saw this as the perfect opportunity to make my first mix overseas. So, with the help of my good friend and manager Bryant Randall, we literally dashed through the streets of Johannesburg recording sounds and voices to put together my first project, Joburg Jam.

The experience was a blast and very educational. It quickly became apparent that this project won’t work if I concentrate on the metropolitan life we already know – cocktails, night clubs, taxi cabs, etc. In future, I want to delve deeper into the depths of a fascinating culture, and slow the pace right down to concentrate on textures and atmospheres. Think Baraka, but with a focus on using sounds to make music. With your help, folks, we’ll be off to our next destination to make this happen. This is only the beginning!

Wow! A wonderful idea and great remix! Let the flame of inspiration burning! When I’m home again I gonna buy each track! I would also like to ask if you only have this tracks to buy on this sites? Love & Respect
Love your remixes! Do you have a soundcloud account that I can follow??? :)

Wow I love your music, is amazing ! I can’t stop listening to it… keep making more awesome remix/ videos ! from Brazil
Awesome videos. This must require a lot of patience to put these songs together.
I don’t even have to understand the language to appreciate the moods of music.
What you’re doing is great and amazing my man I’m posting a blog on you on our site as we speak! Keep it up homie
Congrats for what you do, that’s awesome work! Guilhem (from south of France)

I absolutely love this song, it makes me so happy! :-)
It would be nice though if the spoken ad at the end would be removed from the purchased video… since i already came to this site to buy the video i don’t need to be constantly reminded of it.
I can’t imagine how long it would take to put this together. Great work!
This would be more of a 1 Giant Leap undertaking, however I look forward to see you’re playful take on the world.
A positive image of JHB – show everyone!
love it nick. $100 added. You’d best pack your bags, at this rate you’ll be ready to leave in a couple of days!
Quick! everyone send a message to Bill Gates telling him to support Pogo!
woot! You give us an excellent reason to support you, Pogo.
This is a wonderful, happy-making piece of work. I am thrilled this project is underway. I will support it all the way down the line.
